SADA SPACE (sada meaning “now” in Croatian) is an initiative by Ejla Miletić that dives into the intangible, impermanent space of time through sculptural candles.

Nestled between art, craft, and ritual — these sculptural candles redefine how we experience time and space, by balancing raw materials with a precise approach. They are neither static nor purely decorative, turning a functional object into a temporal sculpture - inviting engagement through an evolving relationship with their surroundings as they transform, shifting in form and presence, making time itself a tangible part of the design.

The Nature Series features flowing forms in beeswax positioned on stone. Beeswax, clay, and stone mirror natural landscapes, fostering kinship between human effort and nature’s grace. Shaped by hand, each candle reveals a distinct figure corresponding to the piece of nature it is paired with.

The Wonky Series leans into the awkwardness of things not going according to plan. These lopsided shapes are an honest reminder that perfection is often a kind of erasure of precisely what we find the most human: the asymmetry and the imbalance hold their own presence and poetry. Each piece is an unmistakable celebration of the imperfect, tenderly holding space for us to breathe.

Ejla Miletić’s artistic practice arose from a desire to reclaim autonomy over time.
